M30***11:“Bagan has a very heavy pagoda, which is extremely exquisite. The corridor at the entrance can be used for concave shaping. It is a pity that Shwezigon Palace is also under maintenance due to the earthquake. There is a small puddle in front of the Shwezigon Palace pagoda where you can take pictures of the reflection. You can go and see it when you go.”

金媛 Amy Jin:“Myanmar's ancient city, in the early morning of Bagan, watching the sunrise over the city of pagodas is sacred and beautiful! If you can stay a few more days, you can really go to different places to watch the sunrise from different angles, with different scenery, in short, it is very shocking!”

The pagoda is majestic and can be seen from afar across the plains of Bagan and is also very popular among tourists for sunset viewing. We checked for our Archaeological Zone tickets here. Be careful when climbing the steep stairs to the top of Shwesandaw Temple to watch one of the most popular sunsets in Bagan.”

The Golden Pagoda is not very big, but the afterglow of the sunset shining on it is very beautiful. This is also a good place to watch the sunset. The setting sun is reflected on the river, and the small boats used to carry people to the other side are very interesting. There are also some food stalls nearby, but we didn't try them.”

嘟嘟鱼:“【Destination Guide】 Pre-trip preparation: Bagan is the most quintessential historical city, Buddhist cultural site, and tourist attraction in Myanmar. I personally think it is the best place in Myanmar. You must come here once in your life. Transportation Guide: Bagan is located in central Myanmar, on the left bank of the middle reaches of the Irrawaddy River. The transportation is not particularly convenient, and it is definitely not comparable to that in China. If you go from Mandalay, it is cheaper to take a bus, but it takes longer, about four or five hours one way. The artillery car costs more than 600 yuan, about three or four hours. There is a flight in the morning and evening, which is not expensive if discounted. It costs more than 300 yuan per person. It is estimated that it will take more than three hours to go to the airport and on the plane. The disadvantage is that the time is fixed. When you arrive at the Bagan Bus Station, if you go to the hotel, you have to pay extra. Basically, taxis do not use meters, and more than 10,000 local currency can be done. Local must-check-in: There are hundreds of pagodas in Bagan. If you really want to visit the main pagodas, it will take two days, and tourists may not remember them. It is better to pick some key points, such as Dhammayangi Pagoda (the largest brick pagoda), Ananda Temple (the most beautiful), Thatbinnyu Temple (the highest), Shwesandha Pagoda (you can climb up to watch the sunset, but it is not allowed to climb now), and many unknown pagodas with different styles, like Longmen Grottoes, with various Buddha statues, including standing Buddha, sitting Buddha, reclining Buddha, some are brick pagodas, some are stone pagodas, and some are Shwedagon Pagodas. All these pagodas and temples must take off shoes and follow the local customs. It's just that it hurts your feet. Food guide: The local dishes are oily. To be honest, there is nothing recommended. It can't be compared with Thailand. Shopping guide: The most famous locals are puppets, lacquerware and sand paintings. There are shopping spots in front of each major temple to buy them. You can also buy them in the hotel, which is actually not expensive. Travel experience: It is said that the 480 temples in the Southern Dynasty were magnificent. Today, there are only a few left in Nanjing. At present, there are still more than 4,000 pagodas in Bagan, of varying sizes, mostly from the 10th to 12th centuries. Many have fallen into disrepair. In the past few years, tourists could climb the pagodas to watch the sunrise. In recent years, the government has strengthened management and the pagodas cannot be climbed. Although some scenery has been lost, it has indeed protected the world heritage. Tips: Bagan is a great place. I have never seen a place with so many pagodas. It is very sacred. Although the locals are poor, they are good people. Maybe it is a Buddhist country and the people are very simple. Be sure to respect the living habits of the locals and be prepared to write a local currency with a face value of ¥1,000. It is also okay to give some tips.”

I was able to climb one pagoda along the river that didn't seem e-bike friendly and further east along the market, but it seems to be manageable now unless it's far from there. However, even without it, it's a beautiful Buddhist pagoda.”

The bread before the meal looked a bit like baked sweet potato. It was spread with butter and eaten hot. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with rich milk flavor. It was super delicious. There were also some other snacks, which tasted very good.”
