Swimming here since 1948. Conditions have improved significantly after dredging. Water is much cleaner, especially in spring, especially after the net is replaced after the demolition in winter. This can flush a lot of sediment into the harbour. Great place for kids, very safe with access to shallow water beach.

A fantastic reserve, we love taking pictures for the entrance, across its bridges and the small beaches there. We just caught it before Sydney's summer climate got into trouble, when the air and environment were at their best.
