Before 1997, the botanical garden was a nursery, formerly known as the nursery of Yuecun, Shijiazhuang City, and the main task was to provide various green nursery trees for professional greening. In August 1997, in line with the positioning of "scientific research, science popularization, demonstration, sightseeing", after expert demonstration, the government set up a project to prepare a botanical garden on the basis of the original Ximiaoyu.
