Masterfully crafted frescoes
This was the cherry on top of the cake, we visited this on our way out and the quality of both the iconostasis and the frescoes adorning every inch of the refectory are incredible.
Built in 1686-92 and still very impressive artistically.

Too many people to enjoy the sanctity of Sergiev Posad
I was hoping to experience sanctity in the centre of Russian Orthodox life in Sergiev Posad but too many people were there to enjoy the sacristy. Waste of time.

MAGNIFICENT
Our French-speaking guide explained the whole history of this refectory very well. Recently restored, the decoration is superb.

The hotel is a very good place to go through the monuments of a Russian monastery and/or a Kremlin.
