Cachuma Lake Recreation Area

It is a beautiful area, the county rangers are very friendly and the people running the dock area are very helpful. Then why am I disappointed. The property is located about 25 to 50 feet above the lake. We came there to do a little shore fishing or fishing from their dock. To reach one of them is a narrow old sidewalk that is poorly made and the angle between the slopes and the lake is very steep. The barrier pier is a joke. Long walk and then descend. Also, there is actually no place to fish. If you are our elders, then you don’t have to take a grass chair, draw a rope in the water and have a relaxing day. The reason I gave it 3 stars is that the venue is clean and the people working there are very friendly and the maps of the area are easy to read. We weren’t camping so I couldn’t comment on it any more, but they do have grocery stores, petrol pumps, cabin rentals and ground-floor restaurants. A variety of boat rentals and bait are also available. They have one day admission, an annual admission fee, and one year admission if you can present a $10 military card.

After visiting Oxnard Outlets, I didn’t have anything to do. I saw where it was fun around. I chose this place. It took more than an hour to drive. The scenery was beautiful. It was a worthwhile trip. Oh, by the way, the security guard at the door gave us 15 minutes. Timeout cost 20 knives parking fee
