Recommend a visit!
It was a bit difficult to find, and one has to buy tickets on the other side of the square. It is not very big, but very interesting and unusual with sculptures which symbol all months and lots of sma...
Spoiler: never pay 12 € to visit this!! The ticket gives access to "a museum" (=one single room with no specific interest, see my picture) and the baptistry is interesting but would deserve 3 euros......
Considered one of the most important examples of medieval architecture, made at horse between the XII and the XIIIth century on Benedetto Antelami's project, it marks the transition from Roman art to Gothic art ....
The outside looks a little negligible, but there are works ongoing. The interior is a masterpiece of fresh and statues. The entrance ticket is purchased from the other part of the square.
