This was a nice out of the way excursion in Ottawa, on the Ontario side. You would need a car to get there, but it was worth the trip. There is a park on either side of the falls, so walking, picnic...

What a beautiful spot! The falls in all their glory. Especially nice when we visited, because of the fall foliage. Very peaceful. Ample free parking, including for handicapped. Not at all crowded...

very nice place to go for a stroll, have a lunch or just watch people fish. You can even watch the road go up it allow larger boats pass under road to lake! great place for fun day out with full fam...
Nice scenic location
Nice location for a bit of a scenic walk and picnic. Easy to find and good access. A Rideau canal is a short walk away and is fun to watch the swing bridge in action.
