The aquarium is a great place for both education and entertainment~ 🇯🇵 I visited Osaka 10 years ago, and the most memorable place was the aquarium. 💃 I didn't think I would visit the aquarium again this time, but when I found out that the zoo was closed on Monday, I decided to go to the aquarium instead~ 🚇 Transportation: Getting off at the Universal Port Station is super convenient, just a few steps away from Tempozan. I wouldn't recommend driving as the parking fee is a bit expensive. 🎫 Tickets: Adult tickets are 2700 each, and there are also package deals available, including options like the Captain Line and the Santa Maria. Osaka Aquarium KaiyukanReview of Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (大阪水族館海遊館), or simply known as Kaiyukan. After purchasing a ticket, upon entering the building, there is a stroller parking area and coin-operated lockers available for use. It's okay if you choose not to leave anything there. As for parking your car, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the exhibit. What I liked was the layout of the exhibition zones, which involves walking down from the upper to the lower floors. The aquatic animals are divided into zones based on their natural habitats, including realistically simulated ecosystems and water depth levels. In addition to aquatic animals, there are also semi-aquatic and terrestrial animals on display, such as penguins, capybaras, otters, and meerkats, to name a few. The highlight of Kaiyukan is the Pacific Ocean zone, which features a 9-meter deep tank and the majestic swimming whale sharks, the largest fish in the world, for visitors to admire. Inside Kaiyukan, there are also special exhibition zones. When I visited, there was an Ocean Sunfish, or Mola mola, which moves slowly and doesn't seem as graceful as other fish, but it still attracted a lot of attention from the visitors. Kaiyukan Aquarium is one of the must-visit attractions in Osaka, as it is the largest aquarium in Asia. It features a wide variety of aquatic animals and other species that are not found in Thailand, such as whale sharks and otters. It's definitely a great experience and worth the admission price. There are timed entry slots which you can inquire about at the front counter. The staff are very helpful. I was particularly impressed by the overhead dome where you can see otters swimming through - that's the spot where Jaehyun from NCT took a photo! After visiting the aquarium, you can also go on the Tempozan ferris wheel and take a cruise on the Santa Maria ship to view Osaka Bay, with USJ on the opposite shore. It's like hitting three spots in one visit, saving a lot of time. You can visit all three places in less than a day. The journey is also easy and straightforward, accessible by JR train from Osaka station with just a short walk. I visited in May when the weather wasn't too hot, around 25 degrees Celsius, but the sun was very strong. Don't forget to bring an umbrella or a hat.Jinnxjeong

Sea Animals are waving!#thingstodo Absolutely loved this aquarium. I found it incredibly well done with great exhibits and variety. The Great Barrier Reef section was closed for upgrading works when we were there but it was still an overall fantastic experience. The 2 whale sharks were definitely the highlight. Such beautiful, magnificent creatures. Pro tip: buy your entrance tickets online and get the table of feeding times on the website before you come here and plan your visit accordingly. They don’t display all the feeding times in one place anywhere; rather, the feeding time is displayed on each individual exhibit, so it makes it quite challenging to see overall feeding times in one place to plan your route. Everything in there is so beautiful and they have many different eateries and a ferries wheel right outside. I would definitely go back!
