The whole walk takes about 3 to 4 hours. The Xiongzhen Manyan Mojie Stone Stele is located on the halfway of the Caoling Ancient Road (about 240 meters above sea level). It is said that in the sixth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1867 AD), Liu Mingdeng, the commander of Zhentai, visited Kavalan in the north and encountered heavy fog. The direction of the passers-by cannot be identified due to the diffuse air, so Liu Mingdeng wrote the four characters "Xiongzhen Manyan" on the stone tablet here to suppress the mountain demons. It has now been listed as a third-class monument. The Tiger Stele is inscribed in cursive script and is located beside the mountain trail at the Lingding Pass of the Caoling Ancient Road (about 330 meters above sea level). In the sixth year of the Tongzhi reign, when Liu Mingdeng, the commander-in-chief of Zhentai, visited Kavalan in the north, he was blocked by strong winds. Wujie Manghua wrote "tiger" for the pen, and ordered his subordinates to carve it on the boulder to calm the wind. Now it is listed as a third-level historic site together with "Xiongzhen Manyan Mojie". Dali Tourist Service Center is located at the entrance of Dali, Caoling Ancient Road, 121.3 kilometers away from the coastal road (south of Dali Tiangong Temple).
