Sudoten no Usha is located in the Kiji district and is almost adjacent to Renjoji, which is also known as the site of Kiji.
A shrine on the outskirts of Nara Cho
Suspected that Emperor Kanmu's younger brother, Prince Sawara, was involved in the assassination of Fujiwara Tanetsugu, the crown prince was abolished and exiled to Awaji Island. On the way, he complained of innocence, fasted and died. After that, a natural disaster occurred around the next 々 and Emperor Kanmu, and there were no close relatives. It is a shrine built to calm grudges by posthumously conferring it with Emperor Sudo, thinking that it was the curse of imperial Prince Sawara. It is a shrine with a solemn atmosphere without the terrifying feeling of sealing grudges.

It was the name of Emperor Sudo, which I couldn't hear, but when I read the explanation board, I heard that a shrine was built to seduce the soul of "Emperor Sudo". I didn't know anything about this era, and I was excited to take this opportunity to investigate deeply. There were no tourists here and it was quiet.
Solemn atmosphere
I visited when I took a walk in Naramachi. After passing through the large torii gate at the entrance, there are large guardian dog statues on both sides, and from there, follow the approach lined with lanterns. Beyond that is the main shrine. It is a very historical building and has a solemn atmosphere.
