Kawahara Shrine is located in the Showa Ward of Nagoya. The gods enshrined in the shrine are the God of Sun, the God of Himeyama (the God of Earth), and the Goddess of Elephant (the God of Water). In the sixth year of Keicho (1601), the son of Tokugawa Ieyasu, Matsudaira Tadayoshi, paid tribute to the gods. In the fourth year of Kanbun (1664), the second lord of the Owari domain, Tokugawa Mitsuyoshi, prayed for a good harvest here.
