Good for visitors, short term residents, and kids

Pottery, dyeing, weaving, making folk wood crafts--it's all been really fun and engaging, and the final products are worth the price. Also a way to interact with people over these important cultural t...

A cultural stop along the way

We visited here on our way back from a local Onsen and it was very interesting. You can see how local cast iron teapots are made, make your own Japanese cookie and purchase handicrafts.

There are many places where you can make it by hand.

    Original Text

Souvenirs are sold, and Nanbu Tetsu kettles and pots are also sold. Once inside, there seems to be a place where you can actually experience making things. It is near Lake Gosho and the location is good. You can see and feel many specialties of Iwate here. I was especially interested in Nanbu Tetsu. It has a Iwate feel and creates its own shape, and I think it's very wonderful. I wanted to make it myself.
