A statue stands northward in the Dogo Onsen Main Building. After saving Matsuyama Castle from the crisis of abandoned castles as a member of Ehime Prefecture, he was asked to serve as the first mayor of Dogo Yunomachi and is said to have contributed to the tourist destination of Dogo Onsen. He may be a locally acclaimed great man, but the statue seems to have been built relatively new.

He became the mayor of Dogo Yunomachi in 1897 and was involved in the construction of the Dogo Onsen Main Building. Considering the prosperity of Dogo Onsen today, he may be a benefactor of the town.
