It was one of the retro buildings that stands adjacent to Nishi Honganji Temple. In front of the gate, I could see Western-style architecture and grasp the image of the time of architecture. I entered the university premises from Nishi Honganji Temple and visited each building including the main building. All of them are valuable buildings with only important cultural properties. There is also a pseudo-hoju at the main gate, which is also designated as an important cultural property. The main building is a building in the early Meiji period that utilized the characteristics of both Japanese and Western styles, which is said to be a pseudo-Western style building.
