A beautiful little but very interesting dendarium garden next to the famous castle. They were in March. Just started the flowering of the sakura. But apart from the sakura there is a lot of other beautiful, on which you can look ...
On the north side of Kumamoto Castle, across the street from Kato Shrine, there was a Kenmondai Arboretum. Actually, this Kenmondai Arboretum. The park we visited 2021 Year 10 Moon was closed. There is a "Kenmono turret" at the northern end of the arboretum, but this Kenmono turret was also damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake, and repair work was being carried out.
this was also on the way to recovery from the kumamoto earthquake.

Kato Shrine was built adjacent to the north side of Kumamoto Castle. On the north side of the road from there, there was a Kenmondai Arboretum. This Kenmondai Arboretum is a green paradise with about 2,000 trees, wild grass, bonsai, etc. planted on the site of 2.6ha, so I was looking forward to it. But I couldn't enter during construction. The restoration work of the Kenmono turret in the park, which was damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake, was underway, but I could see the greenery of the rich tree 々 from the ridge.
I always passed by on the way from the Ninomaru parking lot to Kato Shrine, and this time I went inside for the first time. The entrance fee is 200 yen. There were several wives looking for the ground with something in one hand in the back, and when I went to see what they were doing, it was chestnuts. It seems that it was almost picked up because it was late. I thought that if I came early in the morning, I would definitely have a harvest of more than 200 yen. I think the spring season will be beautiful because there are many cherry blossoms. I happen to come from Yamaga ...
It is about a minute walk from Kato Shrine to Sannomaru. The park was quite large and planted with various kinds of trees and flowers 々. Especially noticeable was the weeping cherry blossoms and the moss cherry blossoms planted under them. Unfortunately, the weeping cherry blossoms were scattered, but the bright colors of the moss cherry blossoms were burnt to my eyes. Tulips, kinsenka, and pansy were also in full bloom. The name of the tree is also displayed, so it seems to be useful for children's study.

It looks good during the cherry blossom season.
