Jiuyanquan Park

This is a precious spring water located on the Gobi, and it has been recorded in history for more than 2,000 years. It has been an important oasis on the Silk Road, and because of its existence, the Great Wall of Ming has repaired the pass here.

Next to the Gobi Desert in the arid and rainy Hexi Corridor, this pool of water from Qilian Mountain snow-capped mountains is precious and unusual. It is the water source of the entire Jiayuguan, and it nourishes this land all year round.

This is a small lake from the fusion of Qilian Mountain snow-capped mountains, in the northwest of Gobi Liantiantian, it is said that the construction of Guancheng here, also because of the thousand-year-old water source.

Jiuyan Spring is located at the entrance of the south gate of Jiayuguan. There are springs in ancient history here. It is rumored that there are nine springs, so it is named. But because the groundwater table is now down, the spring water has disappeared, and it can only be turned into a lake, but the scenery is very good, the reeds and wild ducks are in groups, and the majestic Jiayuguan not far away echoes, it seems ancient fun, it is a good place to take pictures.

Jiuyan Spring is a natural spring in Jiayuguan inner city, and has now become a lake wetland. It is surrounded by reeds, and there are weeping willows on the river bank. The scenery is very beautiful. In the vast Gobi, there is such an oasis, which is really beautiful and different.

Jiayuguan Jiuyan Spring is located at the entrance of Jiayuguan Zhongmen. In the past, there was a live spring water here, and now due to the decline of groundwater, there is no spring, only an artificial lake. The lake reeds are rippling, the water birds often play on the lake, the scenery is very beautiful, especially in summer, it is a good place to escape the heat.

There is a water area outside the east gate of Jiayuguan, called Jiuyan Spring, which is melted by Qilian Mountain and then flows into it. Jiuyan Spring actually has more than nine springs. One of the reasons for the location of Jiayuguan was that there was a water source here. After controlling the water source, it controlled the lifeline. All living things were inseparable from water. Now due to the decline of groundwater, the spring water tends to dry in winter, and the water is injected into the Jiuyan Spring from Qilian Mountain water pipe every year to maintain the water surface to a certain level. A statue of General Feng Sheng is erected on the lake shore.

There is water under Jiayuguan, known as Jiuyan Spring. Nine is the limit of the number, not the number here, but the number of springs. When Feng Sheng's army was stationed on this land, the first thing that attracted them was the spring under the Jiayu Mountain, and the material basis on which the human civilization in Jiayuguan area has been relying for thousands of years is also these long-running clear water. The Qin Bian Jilu states: "There is water at the beginning and the back is closed, and the building is built later, there is a building and the Great Wall is built later, and the Great Wall can be guarded."
