It is the oldest existing wooden pseudo-Western-style elementary school building in Japan and is designated as a national historic site. It's a cool building. Looking up from the front, it's a five-story building. This building is also said to be a symbol of Iwata. Admission is free. Inside, the school class scenery from the Meiji era is reproduced. Unfortunately, the museum was closed because the visit day was Monday. From the instruction manual, this is the oldest existing wooden pseudo-Western-style elementary school building built in Meiji 8 year. I was on my way to Mitsuke Tenjin. It seems to be free.
