It is the only original construction site in the ruins of Iida Castle. Opposite Oitecho Elementary School, which is famous for its concrete architecture in the early Showa period, suddenly appears in the back of the city library, and beyond the gate is the Iida Joint Government Building in Nagano Prefecture. The red of the valve pattern and the white of the plaster are a wonderful contrast. It seems that it was actually used as a gate for government offices until the 1940s.

A historic site I went on a morning walk when sightseeing in Iida. It is located at the intersection of the Iida Joint Government Building and the Iida City Central Library, and it is located where you can't tell unless you try to find it.
