Heshang Cave

In the upper reaches of the Carrying Water River, in the valley more than ten miles away from Wudang Bazi, there is a cave called Monk Cave. Speaking of monk cave, there is such a legend locally. I don't know what year, what month, what dynasty and generation, a wandering monk came to Wudang Dam. After paying homage to the six great temples in Bazi, one by one, he went up the river carrying the water, saying that he would continue to go south to find friends in the mountains. On this day, the monk came under the Xianzi Rock, and it was already dusk. He finally crossed the Carry River, but got lost in the mountains. Seeing that it was getting dark, the monk became anxious, thinking to himself, in this place where wolves, tigers and leopards are haunted, what should I do if I am alone? Where can I find a place to spend the night? When the monk was in a panic, he suddenly heard the sound of a wooden fish. He was taken aback, thinking that he had heard it wrong, but he calmed down and listened carefully. It was indeed a wooden fish chanting sutras, and the voice came from halfway up the mountain. The monk was delighted; he hurriedly lifted the placket and scrambled in the direction of the sound with three feet and two steps. As soon as he approached, the sound of the wooden fish suddenly stopped. He looked up and saw that there was no temple here, just a black cave under the hanging rock, opening his mouth to him. The monk only felt numbness and numbness in his spine, he hesitated in front of the cave, regretting that he didn't have to inquire about the situation along the way before leaving. He turned around and saw that the sky was completely dark, and he couldn't cross the river to go down the mountain.
