Fukui Castle does not have castle towers, but the corridor bridge over the inner moat was restored in 2008. It is a bridge used by the feudal lord to go back and forth between the main enclosure and the Gozasho (residence), and it is a rare bridge with a roof.
When I went between the prefectural government building and the prefectural police headquarters building and went out from the castle toward Central Park, I crossed the corridor bridge. When I looked at it from the outside, it was like that if it was called a corridor, but when I actually passed, I only got the impression of a covered humanitarian bridge.
