Lake Wabby

Lake Wabie is a lake on Fraser Island, close to the sea, surrounded by eucalyptus forests on three sides, and huge sand dunes to the east, which erode the lake westward at a rate of 3 meters per year. About a century later, the lake was will be engulfed by sand dunes. What makes Lake Wabby special is that there are many kinds of fish in the lake, but diving here is very dangerous. Under the shade of the trees at the eastern end of the lake, turtles and large catfish are often seen.
