In early December, I strolled around for a few days in the winter that was like summer in Guangdong, and an old friend invited me to take photos in Huawei European Town in Dongguan Songshan Lake. I was so happy that I could finally go to this well-known mysterious town~ It is said that Huawei spent 10 billion to build this European town in Dongguan Songshan Lake base. It also has a nice name - Stream Backslope Village, Huawei people like to call it Stream Village. It is open to visitors on weekends, but only Huawei employees can make reservations for their friends and family, and at most only 7 people can enter each time. Driving into Stream Backslope Village is like entering a fairy tale world. All kinds of castles and bridges I have seen in Europe are condensed in this park. The park covers an area of 1900 acres. All the architectural styles are European classic styles, divided into 12 architectural groups, respectively imitating: Oxford, Windermere, Luxembourg, Bruges, Freiburg, Burgundy, Verona, Paris, Granada, Bologna, Heidelberg, Krnov, etc. The best way to visit is to take the free light rail train in the park. There are 3 routes, all of which are circular, equivalent to the outer ring, middle ring and inner ring of the park. As I was hearing about the effort that has gone into this town, it was confrontation time that to enjoy the entire town which is situated around the Songshan lake of 22km path, I was lucky to have the cycle 🚲 vendors providing range of cycles for couples/kids and families. It costed 40rmb for a decent single person cycle, with 300 rmb deposit which will be refunded on return. #shenzhentrip This time during my Shenzhen 🏨 stay I thought of exploring the outer areas, and that's when I came across this magical place that would literally make you feel like you opened the magical door 🚪 to Europe 🌍 It was an one hour ride to Songshan lake east gate which is a 4A rated ecological site. Well, it isn't just the lake but these towering beauties that added charm to the whole place. Being a techie myself, it is a total surprise to me that inside these buildings 🏫 operate the Huawei tech development and university.
