Big Ben is probably the world's most famous clock. That iconic silhouette is instantly recognisable and is one of the most Instagrammed landmarks on the planet. Six monarchs and 41 prime ministers have come and gone since the bells first struck their now familiar music across Westminster.

This place in the UK's Palace of Westminster is the world's largest Gothic building, right? A few photos here can be made into wallpaper. It is beautiful here. The weather was very good when I went there. A white cloud in the sky made me feel empty.

Downing Street is the British Prime Minister's Office. Downing Street was built in the 1780s by a Sir named Downing. King Charles II paid for his life-saving favor, promoted him to Chancellor of the Exchequer and gave him the land. Downing built 15 small buildings here. After Downing's death, King George II gave No. 10 Downing Street to Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Robert Walpo, in 1732, and remained the residence of the Chancellor of the Exchequer for more than 200 years. At that time, Britain did not have a prime minister, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer was the leader of the British government. The post of Prime Minister was only established in 1937 after the passage of the King's Ministers Act, and since then 10 Downing Street has become the residence of the Prime Minister. In addition to the residence of the Prime Minister, various ministries of the British government have gathered around Downing Street. The prime minister's residence has guards guarding and iron railing gates to block tourists, but the guards are not only fierce, but also cooperate with tourists to take pictures, which also reflects the side of the prime minister's residence and the people.

First off I want to say that the performers are all fantastic, scary enough for youngsters and witty enough for adults (one performer even commenting on how big my forehead was which I would have taken issue with if he wasn't right!). Overall the experience was great and the client I took to see it (I'm a care worker who was taking them out for the day) had an awesome time.

If you ever dream of living in a castle like a royal, then England is where you will be next vacation. There are castles all over England, the result of centuries of feudal warfare and medieval nobles flaunting their power. Whether it’s a tower with a turret or a favorite majestic wall, here’s our list of castles in England where you can pretend to be a king or queen for a night or two. 1. Amberley Castle Location: Amberley, West Sussex Best: Enjoying the tranquillity of a couple's 14th century-style Amberley Castle has a history of more than 900 years and has 19 luxurious rooms surrounded by the original 60ft curtain wall with towers. Originally built by the Bishop of Chichester, the castle, by the hands of many, is most often used as a hunting lodge for nobles. Today, its elegant queen room is popular for dining and afternoon tea. The castle is just 90 minutes from London and is situated in the picturesque South Downs countryside of England. 2. Hover Castle Location: Hover, Kent Best for: History buffs and royals belong to Boleyns, the home of Anne Boleyn's childhood, Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII and the Queen of England, stayed for only 1,000 days. When Anne was beheaded, the castle was handed over to Anne of Clives, Henry's other wife. The 700-year-old castle, gardens and lakes are open to the public on a day trip, but you can choose to stay like royals in the 28 deluxe rooms at the Hover Castle B&B or in a separate Tudor-style cabin called Medley Court 3. Warwick Castle Location: Warwickshire Best for: Family with children The medieval Warwick Castle was originally built in 1068 by William the Conqueror. Today it is transformed into a medieval theme park where you can take part in daily performances, replays and other activities. It is often visited on day trips to London, as well as nearby attractions such as Oxford and Shakespeare's home town of Stratford-upon-Avon. You can choose to camp out in a small white tent on the edge of the woods or live in a Knights Village hut. For something more luxurious, book a tower suite. 4. Thornbury Castle Location: Thornbury, Gloucestershire Best for: Tudor fans near Cotswold 16th century Thornbury Castle is a model of Tudor architecture. It was originally owned by Edward Stafford, the third Duke of Buckingham, who had a wealth and status comparable to that of King Henry VIII. Unfortunately, this led him to beheading and the castle occupied by the King where he and Anne Boleyn lived for a short time. You can stay in the suites used by royalty in the past or in any of the other 25 luxurious rooms named after the historical figures of the Tudor dynasty. 5. Location: Dartmoor, Devon Best for: Family group that enjoy outdoor activities, Botmoor Castle is a 20th century five-star rural resort located in the middle of Dartmoor National Park. The 275-acre estate is like a private paradise with 60 elegant rooms, furnished by Jacobs and 22 separate private country cottages, as well as facilities such as a croquet lawn, tennis court and 18-hole golf course.6 Leeds Castle Location: Kent Medstone Best for: Family and history buffs picturesque Leeds Castle is situated in the middle of a lovely lake in the Kent countryside. Since its construction in the 10th century, Leeds Castle has passed through the hands of many nobles, including six different British queens. But it is known to be the favourite property of King Henry VIII and his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, and the main venue for the Royal Championships "Kimbudi" between England and France 500 years ago. The 500-acre estate has many accommodation options - holiday cottages, bed and breakfasts, luxury tents and historic manor houses.7. Langley Castle Location: Hexham, Northumberlandshire Best for: Those exploring the north of England or Scotland Langley Castle is a spectacular sight in the woodlands of the Tyne Valley, a rugged building made up of four medieval towers and seven foot walls. The castle is a long list of Houses of Lords and ladies from the early 14th century and has been carefully restored. There are 9 modern rooms inside the castle, and 18 castle view accommodations and cabins in the compound. Langley Castle is not far from the World Heritage Hadrian Wall and the Lake District. #Castle #London #Culture

I love Greenwich, this is the most amazing place! I traveled with my partner and parents who were deeply impressed by the intricacies and beauty of the place. I can’t wait to do it again and I think it will be a regular spot for our weekend walk now! My dream is to get married here!

Established in 597 AD, Canterbury Cathedral has stood at the heart of English History for over 1400 years.Worshipers and tourists come from all over to witness and admire the exquisite architecture and learn about Christianity. The Cathedral is also home to the burial site of Thomas Beckett also know as Saint Thomas of Canterbury. The Cathedral has many chapels and a crypt to explore and marvel. Definitely worth a visit and one of the better cathedrals within the UK to tour round.

The origin of the Noor House is a 15th century manor house transformed by Archbishop Bush into one of the largest houses in England. There are excellent paintings, textiles and furniture. The guided tour is informative and there are volunteers in each room. There is a conservation studio and a new cafe. Now visitors can climb up the gate tower with excellent views.
