The Rose Castle is a fairytale palace and one of Copenhagen's landmarks. It was purposely built in 1634 as the summer residence of Christian IV. It was designed in the Dutch Renaissance style, with bronze eaves and red brick walls being the main features. Before King Frederick IV completed Frederick Castle, three previous kings lived here. Rosenborg castle located next to King’s Garden was built in the 1700’s. You can feel the grandeur upon entering the castle. This used to house the then Danish King Christian IV.
Rosenborg castle is close to the city center. It is surrounded by the beautiful King’s Garden. Attraction closes at 5pm but last entry is by 3.30pm. All bags has to be stored in lockers as the castle contains previous artifacts. A must visit in Copenhagen.
One of the most important attractions in Copenhagen, also called the Rosenberg Palace. It belongs to the Renaissance building and is used to store the museum of royal treasures. Tickets are required and there are many people in line. There is a beautiful large garden.
