The Wilderness Library, located within Harvard University, USA, opened on June 24, 1915, and is one of the oldest existing libraries and the largest university libraries in the world. The Wilderness Library is named after Harry Elkins Wilderness, a Harvard graduate who died in the Titanic sinking accident in 1907. His mother, who in memory of him, gave his family a collection of books and $3.5 million to Harvard University Bookstore.
