Baoding Military Academy

The Baoding Military Academy Memorial Hall is built on the former site of Baoding Army Officers School. The construction area is 3,000 square meters, mainly including: gate, Shangwutang, east and west wing, classroom, dormitory, etc. In October 2015, Baoding Military Academy Park was allocated to the management and use of Baoding Military Academy Memorial Hall, and the area of Baoding Military Academy Memorial Hall was expanded to 317 mu. On April 30, 2017, the Military Academy Memorial Hall was open to audiences for free.

On November 21, 1901 (Qing Guangxu 27), Yuan Shikai was ordered to come to Baoding from Shandong, and then Li Hongzhang was the Governor of Zhili and Minister of Beiyang. When he arrived in Baoding, he supervised the Beiyang New Army (also known as the Beiyang Standing Army), and opened a military school. Baoding Military Academy is a military institution founded earlier, larger, more complete facilities, more formal learning system and more complete categories in the history of modern military education in China.
