Highlights: Saihanba National Forest Park is located in Weichang County in Chengde, Hebei Province. It is part of a large area of grassland known as Mulan Paddock and was used as a royal hunting ground during the Qing dynasty. The park offers spectacular grassland and forest scenery and is one of the most popular places near Beijing to experience the wild landscapes typical of Northern China. The park covers an area of 200 square kilometers and is home to a number of lakes and historical attractions, including a pagoda and observation platform used by the Kangxi Emperor. Visitors can drive around the park or hire a driver.
