I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Luton Airport and had a generally positive experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, especially for early morning flights, as it is just a short walk or shuttle ride from the terminal. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a particularly comfortable bed that ensured a good night’s sleep before an early flight. Additionally, the staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth and assisting with any queries. The on-site restaurant offers a decent variety of meals, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good range of options. Room service was prompt, and the food quality was satisfactory. The hotel also provides good amenities, including a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, and business services, with ample parking for those driving in. However, being close to the airport does bring some inevitable noise from the planes. While the windows are soundproofed, light sleepers might still notice it. While the convenience is a huge plus, the rates can be on the higher side compared to other nearby accommodations, so it's worth booking in advance to secure a better deal. The immediate area around the hotel is quite utilitarian, with few attractions or dining options outside the hotel itself. Nevertheless, the Holiday Inn Luton Airport is a solid choice for those prioritising convenience and comfort before or after a flight. The staff’s hospitality and the hotel’s amenities make it a pleasant stay despite some minor drawbacks.

The room is impeccably clean and welcoming, providing a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation. Its location couldn’t be more ideal, just a short walk away from the bustling bus and train stations, as well as a variety of shops and inviting restaurants. However, a noticeable downside is the lack of soundproofing; during my stay, I found myself disturbed by the muffled sounds of snoring and occasional arguments from the neighboring room, which significantly impacted the tranquility I had hoped for.

I’ve stayed here so many nights over the last 11 years back from when it was first built and was the Ramada. As I stay so much I cannot fault the staff that I see in the day time, Arianna, Amy, Laura, and all the reception staff are lovely, very good at their jobs and are the only plus to this hotel. Standard of hotel outside the staff forget it. Tonight I’ve checked in, come to my room and they normally have single use plastic cups in the bathroom for some water overnight sealed in a foil, turns out tonight they have washed and reused old cups, I’m in an executive room where we used to get a bottle of water and a snack bar, nothing anymore. This was the only ihg hotel I knew of that didn’t offer spire or platinum members a snack with their welcome amenity for years, cheap skates, the whole hotel is run as cheap as possible. My conclusion is this hotel is run by profit hungry people who don’t care about service. As I say I stay here a lot and I really feel that some of the staff are great, they could do so much better than working in this hotel where the management just want to make quick money. An embarrassment to the ihg brand. I still have to stay here as it’s the local hotel to my work, but the management all need sacking and the whole thing starting again from the management up.

Stayed for 1 night and booked the Park and Fly option, which encompassed the hotel stay and the 4 nights parking. £200.00 for the stay and parking, which wasn't cheap - however, given the cost of the other local hotels and the airport parking in general, it served as a good option for us. The lady on reception was polite, friendly and helpful, which sadly isn't always a given at airport hotels. The room itself was spotless and we had a good night's sleep. The parking looked pretty safe, barriers and with a fair bit of CCTV. The nearer side of the carpark is well lit too, and it's by the main road so plenty of people are coming and going. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which costs around £2.00 straight to the airport entrance (5 minute drive), bus A is the one you need. You can also take the Dart train which is behind the station.

My granddaughter had a fifth birthday party so I booked a stay for the night to save the sixty miles journey back to Essex . Maths came into this and holiday inn came top of the pile with breakfast thrown in so a no brainer . But as you can see by my ratings for cleanliness etc this hotel is way better than you would expect . The room we had was very nicely decorated and spotless. The bathroom was the same but there are tiny little details that might go unnoticed, like the bath towels are size xl and the shower is quality , the bed mattress is top quality . I could go on , but for my money I feel I got every penny . Breakfast was buffet style , so cereal , full English ,tea coffee juice , fruit , eat as much as you like . Microwave in reception , where else do you see that ? Reception toilets spotless. This is an eye opener for me as travelodge used to be my go to . But no more

As for the rest of the Willows, the building is old, the inside is tired, run down and in need of complete refurbishment - as a bare minimum, the whole place needs a really good clean. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and at best functional. The carpets in the corridors are rucked up and serious trip hazards; the fire doors have holes in them where handles have been changed (what sort of fire door is that?). You get the gist... They are understaffed - we had to wander around the building trying to find someone to serve us at the bar on our first night. On the second night, there were just 2 young and inexperienced staff behind the bar despite there being a function for over 100 people. The wait was ridiculous, the staff didn't know their red wines from their white, and the drinks were overpriced - £1.70 for a dash of blackcurrant, £6.50 for a pint of beer! As for security, it's a joke. On returning to our room one evening we found that the cleaner had opened the window and left it wide open all day - and I mean WIDE open. Bearing in mind the room was on the ground floor, anyone could have climbed in and helped themselves to our belongings. The whole experience is one I would not choose to repeat. I have just tried to fill in the customer experience questionnaire, which Wyboston Lakes emailed a link for - but guess what... the link doesn't work! That sums up Wyboston Lakes and the Willows.

At least 3 times a year a group if us go for a quilting retreat. All the feedback is so positive. Great staff, friendly, welcoming, flexible. So clean and food- overfed and so much choice. Booked for 3 events in 2023 already and about to book for 2024. So glad we found this place.

So completely ruined our trip..the extractor fan needs to be replaced because it's so loud that I'm surprised anyone in a 50 mile radius can sleep..let alone us.

I stayed here with over a hundred colleagues as part of a national annual conference. It was convenient having a room in the same building as the conference rooms as I did not have far to go at the end of a long day. There are a number conference rooms of varying sizes which was useful for break out areas/ smaller meetings. The phone signal and general connectivity is terrible and really let the venue down. Our plenary sessions were disrupted by videos that could not be played, poor audio and trying to make a phone call was very difficult. This really needs to be sorted. My room was basic but not very clean. There was a long hair in the shower, sticky bathroom floor with some suspicious looking stains. I asked for this to be cleaned on my way to dinner, returned to find it was exactly the same. All our rooms were single occupancy but the single beds had not been put together to make a double for more comfort, unsure why and when I requested this, it still was not done. The ventilation is poor, the smoke alarm went off as I dried my hair with the blow dryer. Staff turned up promptly to investigate and I overheard them say it was likely a shower that had triggered the alarm which suggests a known problem. As a mother reviewer mentioned the shower pressure is non existent, it was like trying to have a shower with. cup of water. The food offerings were poor and I was pleased to return home to my own bed after two nights. Next time I might be better off staying at the nearby Premier inn where some colleagues stayed.
