It was the first time I've stayed in a hotel where I didn't speak to a single member of staff – checked myself in using the self-service screens in the lobby and dropped the key off the next morning! I paid a small extra fee for breakfast in the adjoining restaurant which was well worth it. There was one lady managing front-of-house herself so I had a short wait to be seated but she remained extremely pleasant and outwardly calm where others would probably have struggled. I must have been one of the last guests of that morning to get breakfast so my expectations were low, but all the hot breakfast items were well stocked, well cooked, still hot and delicious. I must praise this hotel for being the only place I've stayed in where the AC/heating control panel in my room ACTUALLY WORKED! I adjusted it a handful of times during my stay to be both warmer and cooler and was thankfully extremely comfortable and undisturbed by any noise.....until 07:00 that is. All I can advise for future guests is don't plan on having a lie-in because you won't get it. From 7am the hotel was all hustle bustle, lots of foot traffic and the cleaning team even blasting the radio as they worked around the rooms. The only off-putting elements were the car park area where people were blatantly smoking **** at the front entrance late at night and there are indeed very large rats trotting around which I saw another reviewer mention. Despite that I have to say I would stay again as I found it convenient and the 1st floor room itself clean and well kept – excellent value for money and location is an easy walk to the Dart to take you to the airport terminal.
