Traveling to Hong Kong with my baby to see the hot air balloon exhibition, we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Central. We took a taxi from West Kowloon to the hotel, and our luggage was directly sent to our room, which was very thoughtful.
I had communicated our requests in advance: a sea-view room overlooking the Ferris wheel. The hotel indeed arranged the perfect room type, and my baby was thrilled!
Even more surprising, when checking in, I mentioned that my baby had just turned three and asked if breakfast would be charged. To my delight, the front desk readily said, ”Just go ahead and enjoy it,” which was different from the email reply I received earlier. I was pleasantly surprised.
The most delightful discovery during this stay was the ”magic wardrobe” hidden in the room! Inside the wardrobe, there's a small compartment and a note. You write down the items you need, press the ”Pick Up” button, and shortly after, the ”Delivery” light illuminates. When you open the cabinet door, your requested items have quietly arrived – no need for knocking or waiting, and without disturbing my baby's rest. This silent, thoughtful service elevated our stay to a new level.
The hotel gifted us a fridge magnet, postcard, ballpoint pen, bookmark, fan, and a dolphin 🐬 plush toy.
The hotel's location is excellent. We could reach the Star Ferry and the Ferris wheel in just a few minutes by walking through an underground tunnel, which was incredibly convenient.

After 12 years, I returned to Hong Kong and stayed for 3 days. The Kowloon Shangri-La was by far the most satisfying hotel. Before booking, I debated between several hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui but ultimately chose the Kowloon Shangri-La, and it was definitely the right choice for this trip! The small details truly show the hotel's dedication and customer-first service philosophy. On my second day, which was my birthday, after checking in and resting in the room in the afternoon, I suddenly heard a knock at the door. I thought it was staff delivering toiletries for kids (which they did send later), but instead, I found staff with a cake and a birthday card for me. I was incredibly touched at that moment; it's so heartwarming to be remembered. Thank you, Shangri-La, for being so thoughtful! The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the Avenue of Stars, and right next to K11, making it convenient to get anywhere. After coming back to the room in the evening, I even found fresh fruit, which was such a thoughtful touch! I really wish I could have stayed longer, but I was leaving Hong Kong the next day. My only regret this time was not having a room with a Victoria Harbour view. Looking forward to my next visit!

I booked a corner sea-view room on the top floor for my proposal. The location is good, and the wine-opening service was appreciated.
However, the service was disappointing. The hotel doesn't provide free drinking water, and this wasn't explained at check-in. While we later understood this might be due to government policy, it's not something tourists would typically know. Getting this information involved being bounced between Housekeeping and the Front Desk, with a poor attitude from the staff. The room also lacked essentials, requiring multiple calls to Housekeeping.
The service needs significant improvement.

My second stay here, and I'm still very satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent and convenient, connected to a mall with great subway access. On the first day, I was assigned a room with an interconnecting door. Since it was already past 7 PM when I checked in, I spoke with the front desk, and they proactively helped me switch rooms the following afternoon, which was very considerate. The hotel's breakfast is plentiful, and I especially loved the coffee and the fresh juice made from huge apples – definitely a highlight! It would be even better if there were a discount for returning guests.

Good Review: Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (a Shangri-La Hotel) – A Double Delight of Luxurious Sea-View Accommodation and Delicious ”Omelette”!
My stay at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (a Shangri-La Hotel) was filled with highlights, from the accommodation to the dining! Hong Kong is a city where every inch of land is precious, so being able to stay in such a spacious sea-view room for around 2500 HKD offered far better value for money than expected, clearly outshining accommodations at a similar price point in Shanghai.
The hotel, part of the Shangri-La Group, maintained its consistently excellent quality. While enjoying breakfast at the restaurant, I had to communicate with the staff using broken English and Cantonese, as they weren't very familiar with Mandarin, but this didn't detract from the delicious food at all. A special mention goes to the ”Omelette” – a Western breakfast specialty in Hong Kong, made by pan-frying beaten eggs with various ingredients. The omelette we ordered was incredibly smooth and rich in egg flavor. Even though it took two or three attempts to get the order right, it was so delicious that it left a lasting impression, proving popular even among foreign guests.
Strategically located in Hung Hom Bay, the hotel boasts convenient transportation and breathtaking sea views. Whether it was the comfortable accommodation, the exquisite dining, or the attentive service, everything contributed to making this trip to Hong Kong exceptionally fulfilling. It's truly a high-quality choice that I wholeheartedly recommend!
We just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and overall, we were very impressed. It's a fantastic choice for a modern and convenient getaway.
First, the positives, which are numerous:
Stylish & Modern: The design is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and rooms are decorated with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
Unbeatable Location: The location is perfect. It's just a short walk from the main public transportation hub, making it incredibly easy to get around without a car. We loved being steps away from great restaurants and cafes. The biggest bonus was the immediate access to different water sports—being able to just walk out and go kayaking was a highlight.
Top-Notch Facilities: Everything feels brand new. The gym was well-equipped, the common areas were spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool area.
Excellent Staff: Every staff member we interacted with, from check-in to housekeeping, was exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel well taken care of.
There were, however, two noticeable issues that held us back from a 5-star rating:
Poor WiFi: The WiFi was consistently slow throughout our stay. It was fine for checking emails but struggled with anything more data-heavy, like streaming or uploading videos.
Faulty In-Room TV: The LCD TV panel in our room was not working properly. The right side of the screen was noticeably dark, which made watching anything quite frustrating.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's strengths in design, location, and service far outweigh the technological drawbacks. We would definitely consider staying here again,

This five-star hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui East perfectly embodies a luxurious experience. Stepping into the lobby, I was immediately struck by the crystal chandeliers and the panoramic Victoria Harbour views. The front desk staff effortlessly switched between fluent Mandarin and Cantonese, and the champagne offered during check-in was a thoughtful touch. The guest rooms feature smart control systems, and the 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows transform the Victoria Harbour night view into a living painting. The bathroom boasts a mirror TV and a marble bathtub, complementing each other perfectly. The fresh oysters and caviar at the executive lounge were impressive, and the rooftop infinity pool felt like it merged with the sky and sea. The concierge arranged a private Star Ferry night tour service within three minutes. This blend of international standards and Eastern hospitality makes every return a highly anticipated experience.

Fantastic swimming pool & spa at 9/F. The pool lounge is amazing providing light food and drinks! Stunning view from the pool & pool Lounge. Very good city and partial sea view from my room. All staffs are kind & friendly. The Green, cafe/restaurant at Lobby G/F with super high glass celling is worth to try. In room, very special and smart design especially the bathroom. Shower and bath tub. Bed is big and comfortable. Lighting is good. There are several paid carport just surrounding the hotel. Walking distance about 6-8 to Hung Hom MTR station. Extremely near TST various shops, restaurants. Only minor thing is that lift is a bit slow. But will definitely come back!

This is an older hotel. Taikoo Place is conveniently located downstairs, offering a few decent restaurants, making it easy to dine out or buy fruits and snacks from the supermarket.
The room amenities were quite basic, on par with a decent 3 or 4-star hotel in a major Chinese city. The furnishings were dated; the fabric sofa had old stains, and the glass coffee table was wobbly. The only redeeming quality was the room's view (I was on the 42nd floor, so I can't speak for other floors).
The hygiene has also declined from what it used to be. It seems the staff cuts corners whenever possible. The duvet cover likely wasn't changed before our check-in. On the day we checked in, my child immediately jumped onto the bed to play, and when they flipped over the duvet, we discovered bloodstains inside. Fortunately, my child saw it and called it out, as no adult would typically think to check the inside of a duvet cover. A manager came with someone, took photos, replaced the duvet, and then left without another word.
We stayed for 7 nights. On the first day, there was a shower cap in the bathroom, but from the second day onwards, only hair ties were provided. I was too lazy to call room service and just made do. On another day, the trash wasn't collected. The following day, I had to place the bin in the middle of the room for them to finally collect it.
At check-out, the front desk staff apologized for the bloodstains on the duvet and asked me to wait. She then turned, went into a room behind her, came out, and said the manager wanted to apologize in person but wasn't available, offering two biscuits as an apology...
This attitude is truly telling, isn't it? Is this typical service here? They couldn't even offer a heartfelt apology. Perhaps subconsciously, they just view tourists as easy targets for exploitation? I was originally quite tolerant and hadn't even intended to bring up the bloody bedding incident. However, that bizarre gesture of offering two biscuits at check-out truly infuriated me. Did they feel obliged to address it to save face, even if half-heartedly? That's why I'm leaving this review, so others can be aware of the current standards of this hotel.
And just a side note about the food at Taikoo Place restaurants: I hope the hotel doesn't think their biscuits are five-star quality. Neither I nor my child even like biscuits.

This is my second stay at Rosewood, and for 6000 a night, the mini bar prices are outrageously high – 200 for a small juice and 75 for a Coke. That's a real turn-off. The toiletries in the bathroom are also very basic; the shampoo made my scalp itchy, and the entire line, including the soap, has no scent whatsoever. The afternoon tea is only good for photos; honestly, the pastries don't taste good at all. I got tired of them after just a few bites. Rosewood's pastry chef is really mediocre... The Chinese restaurant, however, tastes quite good, but you need to book in advance. The bar closes at midnight from Monday to Friday. Breakfast is quite lavish, and the service is pretty good!

BBingxueweiqingreThis hotel is located at the very end of Concourse A in the Hong Kong Airport Arrivals Hall. Initially, when exiting the arrivals gate, the signs weren't very clear. You have to walk towards the taxi stand direction and see the concourse before you'll spot the hotel's signage.
The room's cleanliness was decent. However, despite being a non-smoking hotel, the first room they gave me reeked of cigarette smoke and I couldn't open the window to air it out. Even with the AC on, the smell wouldn't dissipate. Thankfully, after calling the front desk to report it, they immediately helped me switch rooms.
The room size is acceptable for Hong Kong standards, but the facilities are noticeably old. If it weren't for catching an early flight or arriving very late, it might be better to stay at one of the newer hotels in Tung Chung.

Ww andOverall, this was a fantastic experience. First, I'd like to mention the staff member at the restaurant with glasses. His service attitude was absolutely superb! I've forgotten his name, but he was wearing glasses and a suit today. I really think the company should commend him. He was extremely friendly because I told him my husband's card was on file, and I wanted to use it for payment. He actually made two trips to help resolve this issue for me. I also want to say that the hotel's pool is excellent; they even provide life vests for children and made sure we understood that kids must wear them. My child accidentally fell into the water, and thankfully, the life vest was there. I really commend the hotel for this. And the 180-degree sea view was truly amazing; it's something I'll never forget. My children had a wonderful vacation here, and I feel like we'll definitely come back again. Plus, the food at the restaurant was delicious and very tasty, and the service was also great. The ice cream was very good, especially the chocolate flavor. And the little panda photo op at the entrance was excellent. This really felt like 6-star hotel service – very thoughtful and meticulous. Thank you all so much.

RRaymond-Chen67Hotels in Hong Kong are generally quite expensive with small rooms. I opted for this one primarily because its mid-range price point aligned well with my budget. The room itself wasn't small and felt quite spacious.
The hotel boasts a good location. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sha Tin MTR station. Alternatively, if you prefer not to walk, several bus routes from Sha Tin station stop directly in front of the hotel, which is just one stop away.
The hotel facilities are a bit dated, so don't set your expectations too high; it doesn't even compare to a typical 3-star hotel in mainland China. However, given Hong Kong's prices, this hotel offers pretty good value for money.
My room only had a bathtub, no separate shower, which was a bit inconvenient as I usually shower. Interestingly, a smaller room I booked also had a shower. So, I'd recommend contacting the hotel directly when booking to clarify the room type and amenities.
The hotel offers pleasant views from the room, overlooking both mountains and a river – truly beautiful and refreshing.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. While the selection isn't extensive, it includes staples like bread, fried noodles, fried vermicelli, sausages, eggs, yogurt porridge, and siumai. Beverages like coffee, tea, and juice are also available. The food was prepared cleanly, and it was sufficient to fill you up.
Both check-in and check-out processes were very quick, especially check-out, where you simply drop your room key card into a designated box.
I had a relatively long stay in Hong Kong this time. For day trips, I found it very convenient to catch buses directly from the hotel entrance. Bus 81c takes you straight to Tsim Sha Tsui, and if you're heading to Sai Kung, the 299x route is direct. I visited Sai Kung for the first time on this trip to see the sea and islands, and the water was exceptionally clean. I highly recommend taking a bus from the hotel entrance; it's only about a 30-minute ride.
New Town Plaza at Sha Tin station also offers a wide range of shops and some excellent dining options. All in all, this hotel provides good value for money.

SSqiiiTraveling with kids, it was very convenient to get to the hotel from Kowloon MTR station; you just walk through Elements Mall, past the LV store, and you're there. The hotel pool is indeed very beautiful. The mall has Lei Garden and many other great food options, making everything easily accessible. The only negative was that a cleaning lady knocked on our door, then suddenly swiped her card and walked right in to ask us when we were checking out. That was very rude.
