In 1864, Britain began building a consulate on Yuntai Mountain. In early 1888, Zhenjiang Yang killed the Chinese, and the masses burned the consulate and patrol houses. The Qing government humiliated the invaders and rebuilt them in 1889 and completed them in 1890. The existing site is the building that was rebuilt at that time.
