Zhayangzong Cave Review

[For this hole, it is worth coming to Tibet again] The extremely niche attractions are almost all Tibetans. Others have said a lot about what to believe, and I will evaluate it purely from the perspective of the attractions. First of all, the hole is halfway up the mountain. At the foot of the mountain, it is a bit desperate to see the distance and height, and you will have the idea of giving up. But when you insist on climbing for two hours, you will reach two vertical wooden ladders. Don't look down when you climb, the ladder is the beginning of the challenge. The hole is extremely narrow, can only allow one person to pass at a time; the hole wall because there are too many people, they have worn the texture of jade; there is no protection measure in the hole, but there has never been an accident; the whole process along a thick rope of cowhide, hands and feet and climbing. Don't worry that you will get stuck at this moment, otherwise the plateau lack of oxygen is easy to panic. Climbing through a dozen meters of close-to-body holes, suddenly came to a large cave. Although there is no belief, sitting in the hole inexplicably feels safe and calm. Don't expect any staff here, all nuns who don't speak Chinese are maintaining, afraid of getting lost and following the locals throughout the whole process. After we drilled out, both of us were amazed that there would be such wild and thrilling attractions in places like Tibet. After all, the blessing of faith works better than any safety measure.

From Lhasa, after the Lhasa River and the Yarlung Zangbo River, three hours drive (speed limit), then hike for 2 hours, climb 900 meters above sea level, and then reach the Zhayangzong cave, it is said that the lotus peanut master and the empty mother once practiced here, is also the only cave landscape in Tibet. The stalactites in the cave were strange and varied, and there were marks everywhere that the master had practiced. Not to mention climbing the long ladder almost vertical to the ground and the hardships of crawling inside the cave; just walking to the entrance of the cave was a kind of grinding and practice.

Every morning at 6 o'clock in the morning, there is a direct bus at the intersection of Jokhang Temple and Yutuo Road. You can live in the tourist service center (the location of Zhayangzong Archway). There are dining and accommodation conditions. The next day, at 9:30, you will continue to take the bus back to Lhasa at the entrance of the tourist service center.

I went once, it was really unforgettable. I want to go again.

There are three caves in the cave. The caves are all south, and two of them are connected. It is said that this was the place where the monks and lotus peanuts were practiced before.
