The first time I knew that the Yuanmingyuan was still in the books of school, the impression only stayed in "beating", "destruction", "degradation", "invaders shameless, brutal", "pity", and now on the field, in addition to the above more profound experience, there is also the wonder of the Yuanmingyuan scenery! Although many landscapes and courtyards are only left with remnants and broken walls, any place can still make people feel that the designer must have spent a lot of effort and wisdom at that time! What a beautiful place, unfortunately! For us in the south, we feel the beauty of the long-lost spring, it is worth it! When we arrived at the place of the big water law, the little girl at the back of the 5-year-old asked her father "why didn't she protect it?" After hearing his father's explanation, the first reaction was "what about the people inside." A feeling and shh... I hope that the tragedy of the past will not be forgotten, and the Chinese will work harder, and will be more prosperous and more healthy in the future! Tsinghua and Peking University are nearby, and you can plan to play together. Although the Summer Palace is only one or two subway stations away, these two parks are very large. It is recommended that the four attractions be visited in two days, otherwise they can not be played enough.

Exploring the ruins of the Old Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan, is a haunting yet enlightening experience. Walking amidst the remnants of what was once a majestic imperial retreat, I couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy mixed with awe. The vastness of the gardens, once adorned with exquisite architecture, lavish pavilions, and tranquil lakes, now lay in ruins, a testament to the ravages of time and history. Yet, amidst the rubble, there is a profound beauty in the enduring resilience of natu

The scenic area is very large. Tourists who plan to visit the Summer Palace and the Yuanmingyuan need to pay attention to the tour time. There are tour buses in the scenic area to choose from. There are many people waiting during the peak period. It is Tsinghua University to go out from the Changchun Garden Gate.

Big park! Lots of historical ruins. Would be great if you have a guide to explain its significance. Not easy to get around with kids as it’s impossible to cover everything in a day.

Beautiful but crazy busy! My sister and I went during the Labour Day holiday. as expected, all tourist attractions were overcrowded but manageable, however this particular place was too crowded. The paths are quite narrow so we felt it more. Nevertheless this place is supper worth it. Lots of water and greenery around, with some old ruins.

Was lucky enough to go on a sunny day that was not crowded! Mid-morning is best, and it’s good to spend at least 2 hours here. Easy by ride share or subway/walk. There’s a lot of history, and the site is massive in terms of ruins and unkept landscape. Perfect April-September.

Particularly beautiful during wintertime to me. It’s cold, but less crowds and everywhere can be picture background. recommended
