Yantai Tianhou Palace Review

Built by Fujian ship helper Jia, the consecrated sea gods (the Virgin of the Queen of the Heaven), is a closed classical monastery building. The hall is composed of the opera building, mountain gate, hall, back hall and two compartments. The southern style, the layout is well-balanced, the connection is decent, the carving is beautiful, and the grandeur is magnificent.

Fujian Assembly Hall was formerly Yantai City Museum, now Yantai Civil Museum, this painting has a certain historical building record, and he also has multiple identities, if you and the locals say to go to Yantai Fujian Assembly Hall, they may not know, But if you say go to the old Yantai City Museum, they must know where it is.

The sub-exhibition hall of Yantai Museum, free of charge with ID card, closed on Monday, Fujian merchants more than 100 years ago, using Fujian wood from the sea, Fujian skilled craftsmen built the southern style of the clubhouse, there is Mazu Temple.

Recently, the Tianhou Palace of Fujian Assembly Hall was under maintenance, and the sculpture at the entrance of the hall attracted my attention. The antique Mazu statue, holding a bronze street light, instantly crossed to the famous painting of Delacroix to guide the people freely 😀

Built in 1906, it was a hometown association of Fujian merchants in Yantai, there were Tianhou Palace, stage, etc., worshipping Mazu, and bless the peace and smoothness of sea trade. It is very southern Fujian architectural style. Now as a branch of Yantai Museum, it is located in the northeast not far from Yantai Museum. It is free to enter with ID cards and is closed on Monday.
