介休始于远古先秦，盛于唐宋，博于明清，介休境内古建众多，最著名的两处，其一是道教名刹后土庙，规模宏大，布局严谨，金碧辉煌，内存数千明代塑造的道教神像，极为珍贵，其二是祆神楼，为山西三大名楼之一，楼体雄伟壮观，文化内涵独特，是研究祆教的活化石，后土庙和祆神楼在很大程度上见证了介休是一座具有千年历史的文化名城。介休因史出春秋时期的介子推、东汉时期的郭林宗和北宋时期的文彦博三位贤士，素有‘三贤故里’之称。故又有一说法，祆神楼乃文彦博所建。说说文彦博吧，介休三贤之一，北宋时期政治家军事家书法家诗人，一生历仁、英、神、哲四朝，任将相五十载，执政于国家承平之时，史称‘公忠直亮，临事果断，皆有大臣之风，至和以来，共定大计，功成退居，朝野倚重。’被史学家称为‘宋朝第一名相’。文彦博辅助朝政时，平雪冤狱，处处为百姓着想，多所建树，在北宋王朝中期社会的稳定与发展中，起到了积极的作用。据《宋史》本传记载，文彦博与包拯同榜高中及第，都是天圣五年甲科进士，名列前茅，皇佑二年，文彦博、宋庠为相，包拯在谏院任职，二人同朝为官，两人均为当朝重臣，又是同阁官员，同样德高望重，曾一同求学，结伴同游，谈古论今，情谊深厚，包拯学识渊博，能言善辩，为时人所仰慕，事实上，包拯在朝廷中真正的靠山就是文彦博，两家还互结姻亲，亲上加亲呢。在宋代历史上，文彦博是与王安石、司马光齐名的一代贤臣，最初，文氏宗祠与三结义庙、祆神楼是浑然一体的建筑，传说北宋年间爆发了农民起义，身为重臣的文彦博率兵讨伐，即将覆灭之际，一只神奇的白猿从天而降，帮助文彦博扭转乾坤，并最终由此得到了朝廷的嘉奖和重用，后来文彦博衣锦还乡，在建造宗祠的同时，建造了这座祆神楼，以此来报答当初神猿的襄助之恩。可惜，在后来的动荡中，文氏宗祠被毁，仅存今天看到的这座独具特色的建筑---祆神楼。不过，文公祠已在原址进行了修复，近期有关于传承传统文化的活动在此举行，今天巧遇文家后人来此洒扫，以此表达对祖先的缅怀和敬意，我遂得以参观，并虔诚祭拜。祠内两尊立像，一尊文彦博，另一尊文天祥。在此，再次表达对所有先贤前辈的敬意和感恩。
