Wuye Temple Review

Wuye Temple, also known as Wulong Wang Palace and Wanfo Pavilion, is located in the center of Taihuai Town, Wutai County, Zhangzhou City, Shanxi Province, built in the Ming Wanli forty-four years (1616), once the temple of the Tayuan Temple; the Qing Dynasty was rebuilt and changed to the Huang Temple. The spatial pattern of Wuye Temple is composed of Wenshu Temple, Wuye Temple, Wanfo Pavilion, monk house and stage. Wuye Temple sits north to south, the main building is Wulongwang Palace and Wenshu Temple, the total area of 2040 square meters, there are 6 temples, 3 Chonglou, 20 monk houses, 1 stage, 2 pagodas, 3 Mingbei; it is one of the most incense temples in Wutai Mountain. The five masters worshipped in the temple are the legendary Guangji Dragon King Bodhisattva, which is the product of Wenshu Bodhisattva's localization and secularization in Taihuai, relying on people's wish to harvest crops, no disasters, family health, and everything goes well. Folk legend Wu Ye was originally black face, but Wenshu Bodhisattva became a five dragon king in order to help all beings, so the black face became a golden face. Wenshu Bodhisattva became a five dragon king like to watch the play, so he built an ancient stage opposite the five dragon king palace, specially for the five master.

Wuye Temple is located in the center of Taihuai Town, Wutai Mountain, and is the nickname of Wanfo Pavilion. Wuye is the most famous and most profound god of Wutai Mountain. Wuye was originally in Beitai, but the north Taihe climate is bad, the road is also rugged and bumpy, not conducive to worship, so people built a dragon king temple in Wanfo Pavilion, and Wuye invited him here, because Wuye is very famous, slowly people called this place into Wuye Temple. The Wanfo Pavilion is located in the southeast corner of the Tayuan Temple. It used to be the temple of the Tayuan Temple. There is Wenshu Temple, the Five Dragon King Temple and an ancient stage. Wenshu Temple was built earlier, and it was created in Ming Wanli forty-four years (1616). Three two-fold three-fold four-fold out of the top of the corridor, and the upper and lower two floors provide a total of 10,000 three-inch high mud-plastic gold statues of the little Buddha. The upper temple is in the middle of the temple for the Tibetan Bodhisattvas. The left and right sides are like the father and son. The left and right sides of the Tibetan Bodhisattvas are arranged with five statues, which are "Ten Temples and Kings". They form the layout of the "Ten Temples and Dynastys and Tibetans". The lower layer provides three top statues of the Ming Dynasty: Wenshu riding lion, Puxian riding elephant Guanyin riding the Chaotian ceremony. The Five Dragon King Palace was founded in the Qing Dynasty when it was rebuilt in 1917. It was built outside the palace and the palace was used for the golden face of the Dragon King Lao Wu, commonly known as the Wu Ye. The statue behind him, from left to right, is: uncle, second master, dragon mother, third master, fourth master rain teacher. The stage is directly opposite the palace of the five dragon kings, it is the only decent stage in Wutai Mountain. Legend has it that the Buddhas did not watch dramas, because Buddhas and Bodhisattvas did not greed for joy, and later Wenshu Bodhisattvas became the five dragon kings in order to help all beings, and then people repaired the five dragon kings palace in the Wanfo Pavilion. Because of the prominent spirit of the five dragon kings, this stage was repaired on the opposite side of the five dragon kings palace, specially for the five masters. The old five masters in Beitai were originally black-faced five masters, but because later five masters converted to the Buddha, they became the chemical life of Wenshu Bodhisattva, and then became the golden face five masters that they see now. Outside the hall of the five masters, there is a piece of the emperor Kangxi's hand-written question of the forehead, it, there are two ways to read, the first is the dragon, the second is the dragon ginseng.

Wulongwang Palace, the most famous of these temples is located in Wutai Mountain, Shanxi Province. It was built in the Qing Dynasty, and someone added a new vestibule outside the palace when the Republic of China was rebuilt. There are two mainstream accounts of the origin of the "Five Masters" faith, the first one: Wu Ye is an incarnation of Wuding Wenshu Bodhisattva in Wutai Mountain.
