Wat Bang Kung Review

Wat Bang Kung or Wat Khai Bang Kung is an old temple located in Bang Khon Thi District, Samut Songkhram Subdistrict. The highlight of this Bang Kung Temple is the Prok Pho Church, which is covered by 4 kinds of trees. Inside the church is the enshrined of Luang Por Maninil.

It is about 15 minutes from the Ampower Floating Market. You can also go by motorcycle taxi, but I chartered a boat for 500 baht. The temple is covered with trees and feels like an archaeological site. Many people come to visit and it is very busy. There are many Muay Thai statues and a mini zoo nearby.

Love this temple very much. Reverend Father Nilmanee, enshrined in the church under the tree feels beautiful and has the original atmosphere. Reminds me of the old history that this temple used to be a barracks before.
