Waimea Canyon is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific Ocean. It is about 14 miles long (22 kilometers), 1 mile wide (1.6 kilometers) and 3,600 feet deep (1097 meters). From the Waimeya Canyon Observatory, you can see the towering peaks, rugged cliffs and deep canyons at a glance, with a spectacular inland view stretching for miles.
