Vondel Park is a large public city park located in the old town of Amsterdam, also known in Amsterdam for the Vondel Park dam (Vondel Park area). The park is named after Jost van den Vondel, a Dutch poet and playwright. On a sunny day, the comfortable lawn is strewn with hazy sunshine, and you can relax by drinking tea and snacks. The park has great facilities, a playground for the little kids, and you can play football, bike, walk or play tennis on it. Just 5 minutes walk from Park Road Museum Square. In summer, most weekends, there is a free park concert stage.
