Verny Park Review

The park is a little more than one kilometer from JR Sapporo Station, and a little further from JR Yokosuka Station, about two kilometers. The park's name comes from a famous Japanese naval ship in the park 100 years ago, as the flagship of the Japanese Joint Fleet, leading the Japanese Navy in the Japanese-Russian War, defeating the Russian Baltic Fleet, making Japan a maritime power in World War I. Admission is free, but the well-preserved ship visits are 500 yen, there are many pictures on the ship, and the video materials introduce the relevant maritime history.

Next to Yokosuka Port, there are good trails to stroll along the view. Starbucks next to the park is very chic from the architectural point of view. There is the main artillery pipe of the World War II battleship Luao in the corner of the park. There is also the memorial hall of the original Yokosuka Shipyard on the side, which is free. There are a lot of good goods inside, the staff is very enthusiastic, you can go to the road to visit.

Beautiful harbour park, walk around, few people, sometimes there are big ships in the harbour, many warships. It is very quiet, there are not many tourists, there are not many tour groups, very comfortable place.

It is still very rare to see the reality so close.
