Before 2016, the 14-kilometer road from here to Pailong Township was called Tongmai Tianxian, which took hours or even longer to pass. This road is in Asia's second-largest mudslide group, and geological disasters such as landslides and alpine rolling stones often cause tragic accidents and deaths. The middle Baotongbian Bridge collapsed in 2013, when in addition to a truck crashed into the river, two travel friends who hid into Tibet just walked to the bridge, and stayed in the Yigong Zangbu River forever. Looking at the bridge that has become a historical memorial, I think of people who describe Tongmai Tianxian as "Tongmai Cemetery", can't help but look forward to it, shuddering. In April 2016, with the completion of the five-tunnel two bridges Tongmai Tianxian Remediation Project represented by Tongmai Bridge and Yulonggou Bridge, the bridge and tunnel are connected from now on, and the Tianxian has become a smooth road. It is really a praise for bridge engineers and construction workers in China.
