In early March, we came to Taierzhuang Ancient City, south of Zaozhuang, Shandong Province. This is a place worth visiting. It is recommended to stay here for one night to see different scenery and activities during the day and night. Taierzhuang is located at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong, south of Zaozhuang and 30 kilometers north east of Xuzhou. The longest and oldest Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through the whole country and is also a hub for north-south transportation. Unfortunately, the road here is not very convenient in the last section of the highway (whether it is from the north to the Xintai Expressway, or the Zaotai Provincial Road, or from the south of Xuzhou, you have to pass a detour of more than 30 kilometers, and the large trucks are dense, and the traffic accident risk is large). From Beijing, there are not many vehicles on the highway, which is very smooth, but after arriving in Zaozhuang, the road ceiling speed is greatly reduced. Although it is along the Grand Canal, the scenery is beautiful, but there are many speed limit traps. You must carefully observe driving. This place is a transportation hub of the Grand Canal. It has had an important strategic role since ancient times and is a must-win place for soldiers. In ancient times, there was a heavy military stationed, and Emperor Qianlong also came to stay here several times in the south of the Yangtze River, so it is an ancient city. The famous Taierzhuang Grand Jie in the Anti-Japanese War was also completed here. It is said that it is a big shortcut, and the national army has used several times the cost of Japanese casualties. Come here to visit should arrive before noon or 2 pm (I mean the season in early March), so there is more than 5 hours to go around the scenic spots before the night view, including dinner. Especially should take time to visit the site of the Taierzhuang blood war, close your eyes and imagine the smoke-filled battlefield; worship tens of thousands of martyrs who have dedicated their lives here. We left Beijing at 6:00 in the morning (just my car limited day), and arrived at the hotel in the ancient city at 14:00 (I lived in the Lake Light Moonlight Inn, on the edge of the lake near the East Gate, it is very convenient to enter and exit the East Gate, it is recommended). The car cannot drive into the ancient city. There is a large parking lot outside the east gate. You can find a location near the east gate early. Otherwise, it is really troublesome to pull the suitcase into the ancient city. At the same time, it is also necessary to find a hotel near the east gate. After the check-in procedure is completed, you can walk all the way to stop and watch the scenery. There is a map of the ancient city at the gate, and you can slowly play from east to west according to the map. Since the Spring Festival has just passed, this time is the off-season, and there are not many people in the ancient city (it is said that it will start at the end of April). Remember that in the East Fuxing Square, which is the center of cruise ship disembarkation, and the place for evening "steel flower" (low-altitude fireworks) performances and Canglong opera beads. Opposite the square is the Fuxing Building, which says "Taierzhuang". At night, the lights of this building are shining, and the reflection on the river separating Fuxing Square and Fuxing Building is very beautiful. You can take a cruise back to Fuxing Square at the west gate. The cruise ship is hung with red lanterns, and the boat lady is dressed in red clothes and explains while rowing. Walking through several arch bridges, taking pictures has another taste.
