The Stilwell Museum is located at 63 Jialing New Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. It was founded in 1991. It was the former residence of General Stilwell from 1942 to 1944. US Army Lieutenant General Joseph Stilwell served in Shanghai as the Allied Chief of Staff of China Theatre, the commander of the US military's China, Myanmar and India Theatre, and the United States aid to China for loan materials supervision. The Stilwell Museum is an important companion to Chongqing. The Stilwell Museum was officially opened to the public in 2003 after refurbishment. General Stilwell lived here from 1942 to 1944. General Stilwell's activities in Chongqing are a historical witness to the wartime friendship between China and the United States and an important historical and cultural heritage left by history to the people of China and the United States. The renovation of the General Stilwell Museum took 9 months and the area was expanded to 7.2 mu. General Stilwell's bedroom, office, adjutant room, large and small meeting room and basement were restored as before. More than 100 items such as General Stilwell's old daily necessities, manuscripts and military uniforms have also been displayed in the museum. The main building of the museum was originally the Stilwell residence. The entrance is a guard room, which displays the desk, wooden chairs and old-fashioned telephones used by Vice-Officer Yang Mengdong. To the left is the war conference room at the time, with military maps hanging on the wall, next to a miniature film machine, phonograph and various military materials, and next to the conference room is a small lounge and meeting room. On the right is General Stilwell's office and bedroom, which also contains the most advanced radios and telephones of the time. Right in front of the gate is General Stilwell's restaurant. There are also knives and forks and plates for Western food on the table. Outside the restaurant is the kitchen and the place where the servants live. The first floor of the residence is where the accompanying personnel live and store their weapons. It became a few exhibition halls. More than 200 precious historical photos, in chronological order, show us the six aspects of Stilwell's relationship with China, the war in India and Myanmar, the flying tiger air force, hump flight, the US military observation team in Yan'an, and the long-lasting friendship, and record the indissoluble relationship between General Stilwell and China. Here, we not only see General Stilwell's glorious deeds of assisting the Chinese government and people to jointly fight Japanese fascist aggression, but also see his contradiction with Chiang Kai-shek because of his advocacy of parallel assistance to the Communist Party of China's army, and see his general situation, The Chinese Communist Party of China (CPC) is highly appreciated for actively resisting Japan.

A very cold museum, but through this museum, you can see the feeling of the allied forces working together to fight Japan. The location is far away, it is recommended to take a taxi. If you take the subway, you need to walk a long way.
