Greened by George Bay, St Helens is Tasmania's largest fishing port, an ancient whaling town founded in 1830 and once a major whaling area. The most famous attraction here is Flame Bay. In fact, Flame Bay is not a single bay, but a series of fine sandy beaches, divided into sections by some lagoons and seagulls. Flame Bay starts south and goes to Ansons Bay, which is connected to Mt William National Park at the northernmost point. It was named one of the most worth seeing destinations in 2009 by the LP and was also rated as the most worth visiting bay in Tasmania. I came to the southernmost Binalong Bay, and it is also the most popular bay for locals. The sea is clear and transparent, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and surfing. It is said that when snorkeling, there is a chance to catch wild abalone, of course, you need to have a license. The Flame Bay stretches 29 kilometers, which is really beautiful! If I give this trip the best destination, Flame Bay can definitely be selected in the top three!
