The first thing that will strike you at this Hindu temple is the conspicuous presence of a joss stick urn at the main entrance and Buddhist devotees praying there. The reason being that it is located next to the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Buddhist temple and many of the devotees there also pray at this temple so much so that an alter dedicated to Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy was erected in the temple grounds to accommodate the Buddhist devotees. Even the Indian devotees have learnt a few words of Mandarin to communicate with their Chinese friends. Only in Singapore will you see such racial and religious harmony.
