Everyone who has come to Lucerne has seen and knows the Cabell Covered Bridge, but about 150 meters upstream of the new river in Roy, there is a more ancient covered bridge than the Cabell Covered Bridge, called the Sploye Covered Bridge, because it was the only way to buy food in ancient times, so it is also called the "Valley Bridge". In the middle of the bridge is a church that is probably the smallest in the world, and can accommodate only a priest and a churchman. The triangular roof of the bridge also has exquisite ancient paintings.
