Shorncliffe Pier Review

The best of Brisbane beachesBrisbane might not be famous for its beaches (bay beaches are rarely nice) but this is hands down the best of Brisbane. Like the peninsula across the bridge, there's some sand and a bunch of family fun to be had (parks, climbing trees, cliff walks, fishing, the pier, BBQ area, climbing trees etc). This is where north Brisbane goes to spend a day with the kids. For travellers to Brisbane, it isn't The Gold Coast... don't expect endless beaches and white sand. It's more about a paddle and play with the kiddies than a scene from Baywatch.

Quiet Zhiyuan If you like the quiet beach, there are shrimps selling seafood every morning. On the golf course, there are boats coming back every day to buy fresh shrimps.

Have fun, the street is good, even if there are many restaurants in the morning, there are many wild food, many foreigners, it is really a choice I made wrong.

The puppy beach is nice our little guy swims very fast and there are no strong dogs there. There is a lot of space on the beach, suitable for collecting shells, if your dog swims well, you can swim a little farther with them. If not, swim with your dog in the shallow water area. The playground is great! Dogs are not allowed to enter the playground. The only thing we weren’t very satisfied with was that there was no suitable equipment for dogs to drink water. Definitely worth going there.

How nice the day is out at home. It is a small and safe beach with a lot of picnic tables on the side, all under the shade of a big tree. Children play on one side, it is a pier, if you choose, you can walk to fish. I wish my children knew this place when I was a child.
