Suzhou Shantang Street is known as the "first street in the south of the Yangtze River". It is said that Suzhou Street in Beijing Summer Palace is built after Shantang Street. Since ancient Shantang Street has been known as "Gusu First Street". Qing Qianlong Emperor's noon (1762) tour of the south of the Yangtze River, to Qili Shantang Zeng Yubi writing "Shantang Search for Win"; now the Shantang Search for Win Royal Stele Pavilion is still well preserved. Qianlong Emperor had a unique love for Qili Shantang, and after returning to Beijing, he built Suzhou Street in the shape of Qili Shantang in the back lake of Summer Palace.
