The Nissin Building, later known as the Maritime Building by Shanghai people, is an excellent historical building in Shanghai, located at No. 5, Zhongshan East Road, close to Guangdong Road. The plaque on the wall of the excellent historical building is written as the Nissin Building (Nissin Steamboat Co., Ltd.). Dehe Yangxing (English) design, reinforced concrete frame structure, built in 1921-1925. The facade is divided into three sections, with a simple classical decoration. In 1996, the east facade was opened on the south side. The Shanghai Municipal People's Government announced on September 23, 1999. The building is a solemn, thick, typical Western-style building with a bumpy facade and no decoration. It is said that it was built by Japan Qingqi Ship Co., Ltd. and the Jews. After liberation, it was used by Shanghai Maritime Bureau. When we went, the front wall wrote Guotai Holding Group, and the two large wooden doors were engraved with the 1824 Museum of China and the National University Holding Cultural Museum, but they were all sorted out and not open to the outside world. It seems that the new owner of the building will give the historical building more cultural and historical connotation, and I look forward to the opportunity to visit. The Shanghai Bund area is known as the Museum of the World. Tourists take Metro Line 2 to Nanjing East Road, and then walk to the Bund. They can see historical buildings with different styles. Count the house number and it is easy to find the Nissin Building.
