In a huge octagonal stone chamber, there is only one very quiet and still space, with high dark panels painted by Mark Roscoe. The lighting comes from skylights, so the level of ambient light changes with the clouds. There are simple wooden benches and cushions to sit there and reflect, meditate, pray or do nothing. As a business visitor, I have visited Houston many times and I never had time to visit Roscoe Church. This trip, I just got from a hard deposition, a few hours ago on my plane, just needed a place to calm down for a while. Totally worth a visit. Very calm.
